Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture

Less than 1 hour fromTromsø city center, our camp will take your breath away. In a valley surrounded by snowy mountain peaks and with the Lyngen Alps as a background, our authentic Sami guides will take you on a 20 minute sled ride and then in the fence to meet our herd, feed it and make memories of a lifetime.
After a traditional taste of Bidos (vegan and gluten free option available) they will share theirculture and stories with you. Come curious, they can’t wait to hear your questions!
IMPORTANT:the sled ride is subject to good snow conditions and sometimes we must adjustthe duration of this activity. If the weather does not allow us to run the sledride at all, we will offer you a partial refund. The rest of the tour will beheld as normal.
PLEASE NOTE: the weight limit for the sled ride is 120kg
Includes:
- Scenic transfers (45 min each way)
- 50 minutes of scenic transfer to camp and back to the city
- Feeding our reindeer
- 20 minute sled ride in a raid
- Traditional lunch with Bidos (or a vegan option: a Norwegian style vegetable soup with potatoes, turnip, carrots, onions, leek, salt, pepper, spices and broth, gluten free), bread, margarine, cookies, hot cocoa, coffee and tea
- A 30 minute introduction on Sami culture given by an authentic Sami guide
- Snowsuits, boot covers, hats, mittens

Meeting point and time:
10am departure:
Pick up is at 9.45am in front of Radisson Blu hotel, the bus will depart at 10am
Look for a guide wearing a blue Luhkka (traditional Sami poncho)
You will be back infront of Radisson Blu hotel by 2.30pm
1pm departure:
Pick up is at 12.45pm in front of Radisson Blu hotel, the bus will depart at 1pm

You will be back infront of Radisson Blu hotel by 5.30pm
It is possible for our guests to arrive at our camp autonomously if they wish to do so. Our address is Sjursnesvegen 144, 9027 Ramfjordbotn, Norway.
Please keep in mind that Norwegian roads present a peculiar set of adversities. If you are not a skilled driver in snowy and icy conditions, consider coming with our bus. We value our guests' safety over everything!
